Today I've posted pictures from Game One of the 2006 World Series. Take a look if you have time - you are welcome to download any you like. Some are out of focus - I was using Manoo's little Minolta digital camera. It was cold out there and it was sometimes hard to hold still...

It's been almost two months since I've done anything on the site. Wow! I must be lazy...

Anyway, I have been trying to get a higher quality movie loaded and although I believe it's better, I'm still not satisfied. Oh well. I do have a number of Grandpa letters to work on yet. Just haven't been motivated, i guess.

This morning I deleted the Cinergy photo album and correct a file transfer problem. Will be posting some SuperBowl Photos this week and next, too.

I added letters datted June 2, June 14, June 20, June 23, July 16 and July 29. I call these the "lost" letters because I thought I had lost them. Not so - just misfiled! I was sure I had read of Grandpa's trip from Camp Sheridan to New York and then France but when I went to the box where I had been keeping (what I thought was all of them) them they were missing. I began to think I imagined having them. But the other night I was going through the letters I had already transcribed and placed in protective covers and, lo and behold, there they were.

There are more and I will be adding them over the next few weeks. Also, there are more to transcribe from 1919 and his trip back to the states. And I want to photocopy some of the originals, add some photos of Grandpa and some links to other web sites before I am done. We will see how long it takes...

I posted a new gallery using RapidWeaver's Gallery template. Check it out. I think it looks pretty good.

Well, I've moved (and renamed) this blog and will make entries here when I make adds or changes to the site. This afternoon while sort of watching the Lions lose yet another game I changed the look of the site and added a new temporary photo gallery. I also installed a new release of RapidWeaver. Time will tell how much better it is.

I added a few more letters to News from the Front. Actually, I have quite a few more to transcribe but I should be done by Thanksgiving. I'm also going to update the blog section soon. I think I'll go back to Blogger and set up a "group" blog.

Oh, by the way I added a Quicktime movie to the movie page. If you've a dial-up connection it will take a long time to load. You might want to avoid it unless you've plenty of time.

Well, it is almost October. I can't believe the Summer passed so quickly.

This is a new Blog replacing the Blogger one that was published here previously. I'm not really sure how it is going to appear and display comments etc.
